Empress Chili

4.5

About this business

Empress Chili was the first company to serve Greek Chili and Coneys in Cincinnati. Tom and John Kiradjeff came to the United States from Greece and opened a hotdog stand next to the Empress Theater in 1922. Eventually, the hot dog stand evolved into Empress Chili, and we have been serving quality secret-recipe chili ever since.

The service is straight off the chain, I've never seen a more dedicated crew of employees. They always set me up! Sometimes I'll go in with a world of problems, and leave with a tummy full of coney and all of my problems go away. Everybody in there knows that Tokyo Drift is the worst Fast and the Furious movie. Nobody at empress judges me... It's like cheers but with coneys... And I'm Norm... That's the kind of friendly reception I get when I walk in the place

Great service tonight! I would like to thank the 3 young men, that waited on us at the drive thur! They we polite, willing to help, friendly and happy! They asked about our day and if we enjoyed the sun! They worked together to fill our order and sent us on our way with a smile and great conies! This experience was just what we needed in this week of sorrow!

First time here. And lady time I will go. Had to go to counter to order, get your own silverware, drinks, etc. and I hate fat spaghetti and chili was just warm. Four people working but mostly standing around. Empress was the first chili parlor 50 years ago and was great but not anymore. Went at lunch time and only one other person there. That says it all.
