Empress Chili was the first company to serve Greek Chili and Coneys in Cincinnati. Tom and John Kiradjeff came to the United States from Greece and opened a hotdog stand next to the Empress Theater in 1922. Eventually, the hot dog stand evolved into Empress Chili, and we have been serving quality secret-recipe chili ever since.

have always gotten good chili cheese sandwiches until this afternoon. Extremely tiny amount of cheese on them and the buns were soggy. will not return.
So friends of ours took us to Empress Chili in Alexandria for dinner this evening. For the first time I was very disappointed. They were out of sweet tea and wouldn’t make us any, all but 3 tables where covered in dirty dishes and when a customer came to the drive thru window they agreed about who’s turn it was to get up and take care of the customer. This younger generations will be the death of this world. You can’t see it in the picture but the 4th worker was across from the girls.
Great food and service was a good time
Don’t worry about them making your food right or fast . They just more concerned about themselves on their phones .
People that work here are so nice and friendly really like the pizza.
Good chili! Great community support!

My favorite Cincinnati style chili place on the Kentucky side of the river. Great portions and prices.
