McKenzie has been so lovely to work with and my twin preschool boys enthusiastically jump in the car on Fridays when it’s time to go to “McKenzie’s house”. We’ve had an annoying situation ongoing with our insurance (entirely the fault of our insurer) and McKenzie has gone above and beyond to navigate the situation to make sure my boys continue to receive services. I had a 2 year old toddler who was still not eating any solids because of strong sensory aversions. We went to Empower Speech to get Feeding Specialist SLP services. They were able to slowly troubleshoot a list of safe foods while growing our toddler’s nutritional intake too. Our kiddo is now eating solids, completely weaned from nursing, and eating more new foods everyday! We are so happy to have found McKenzie to help our child with their speech! She has a wonderful way of interacting with the kids and making them feel comfortable. We have seen a huge improvement in our child’s speech and confidence since starting classes. We also love that she’s the only provider at her clinic so our child was able to build a trusting relationship with her quickly. We highly recommend her if you’re looking for a knowledgeable and kind speech therapist for your child.
We had a wonderful experience with McKenzie while addressing our daughter’s tongue placement/palate issue. She is incredibly kind, great with kids, and makes each session fun and engaging. My daughter actually looked forward to her appointments, which made such a difference. Highly recommend!
We've had a wonderful experience at Empower Speech Therapy. They are patient, knowledgeable and make therapy engaging and positive for kids. Communication is excellent, and we always feel supported. They have helped us through infant/toddler feeding / swallowing issues; transitioning to using an AAC device at home/school; and general age appropriate articulation. Not just supporting the child, but giving us parents tools and resources to work on at home. Highly recommend!!
