Brace yourself for a big sales pitch if you call for a free home estimate. I needed to replace carpeting in one room of my house. The salesman informed my that he would only provide a written estimate if I gave a deposit of $50. The salespeople are extremely rude and look at you like a floating dollar sign. If they feel you're 'not worth it', they rush through and just try to get out the door. Don't try to ask them to measure your rooms, either...unless you want to hear grumbling. Better carpeting for half the price is available through competitors...just shop around.

I had to give this business one star becuase the computer would not let me write this review and give it ZERO starts, This company deserves a rating of NO STARS.. They were THAT bad. We hired them to put in hardwood in our bedroom. Were NOT told correct information from the sales man, the installers, district and reginional directors. I am still in the process of fighting with this company. We had a bedroom and hall installed about a year and a half ago. The installation was completed in three days due to not emough material being brought for the job. Within 6 months there was a wear pattern, moreso than the carpet that had been there 10 years. This was not cheap carpet, appx $1700 for a bedroom and hall. The complaint investigators came out and said the wear was normal. Sorry. I would not use Empire again. Their warranty sounds good but I doubt seriously if there is ever a corrective action taken.
