UPDATE: I just left my first appointment at Piedmont Womens Healthcare. It was unreal how amazing it was. It was night and day compared to my experiences at Emory. Clean, updated facilities, welcoming and helpful staff who were interested in helping and had obviously read my chart, a Doctor who spent more than 15 minutes with me. Seriously, if you're even considering coming to Emory do yourself the favor of not bothering with the nonsense you'll find there and head straight to Piedmont. I just had a very poor experience with Dr. Davis at the Womens Center. I was there to follow up after a miscarriage (which this exact same Emory practice confirmed two weeks ago) and the nurse walks in and says "So we're here for your 16 week appointment!"... not a good start. Then, we're trying the ultrasound and Dr. Davis says "this one hasn't been working well!" I explain again that this is the reason why I'm here and this is a hospital so I'm going to need her to find a properly working ultrasound to which she says "the ... read more

I had to move to Emory OB practice because other providers do not support induction for VBAC. It has been a tough experience. Scheduling is horrible. I would miss needed check ins because it could not be scheduled timely. They do not work together with Maternal Fetal specialists on scheduling either. It is always up to the patient to coordinate the care. Very frustrating experience and I drive to three different location to adjust to Emory scheduling.
