I got a voice mail from Akil on June 20th about an MRI I am supposed to have today. Voice mail says my check-in time is 9:30 & the MRI is at 10. I got a text from Emory Midtown last week reminding me of my 9:30 appt. I got here at 9:30, & you're telling me that my appointment was at 9:00 with an 8:30 check-in, and I missed it, and I'm going to be charged a $25 cancellation fee. I CAME WHEN I WAS TOLD TO COME. I just had my baby at Emory Midtown on 7/18/17 and I will say that my WHOLE experience there was EXCELLENT!!! I've had babies at other hospitals and this has by far been the best experience, from all the staff, Dr's, nurses and Tech's to the cleanliness of the room. Everyone respected all my wishes and let me labor how I wanted to. I would recommend this hospital for Labor and Delivery!!!!

Although I was at Emory - my appointment and procedures were with Atlanta Gastroenterologist who has offices at Emory - but not affiliated with their system. I had to arrive an hour prior to the procedure @ 2pm...Pre-op slightly after 1pm...Dr. came in shortly after 2pm and I woke up in recovery soon after being told to get comfortable. I really can't complain...
