Yes she is a good doctor if you have insurance or medical card or medicare but if you are private pay she has a personal problem with that she thinks if you smoke and pay 10.00 for 2 packs of cigs a week you can have insurance will i have news for her if you are not offered insurance at work you can not afford it on min.wages she needs to change her attitude about some of her pt. some of us have no choice about insurance and can not get help Dr.Emmons wants to do all kinds of testing before she will give you any medication b... read more
Dr Emmons is a self centered quack. DO NOT GO TO HER. I had major health issues and she admitted me to the hospital via the ER and would not order meds by phone to the nurses for me, even though I was there with heart issues, I was going to have to wait over 12 hours for meds, so I signed out and she dumped me as a patient. My Uncle went to her, he had kidney problems, she avoided that all together, and she is a kidney specialist. She thinks she is god. DOCTOR CHERYL EMMONS IS AN EXCELLENT DOCTOR. SHE SHOWS CONCERN FOR HER PATIENTS AND WORKS WITH THE PATIENT IN RESOLVING THE HEALTH ISSUE. WE HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH A DEDICATED DOCTOR AS WE HAVE IN DOCTOR EMMONS IN PROVIDING QUALITY HEALTH CARE. WE HAVE BEEN IN MOUNT VERNON FOR A LITTLE OVER 4 YEARS AND YOU WILL NEVER FIND A DOCTOR LIKE HER OR HER STAFF IN NORTHERN ILLINOIS (TOWARDS THE CHICAGOLAND AREA). Dr. Emmonds is a great doctor. She does contact you herself with your test results and she also spends as much time with you as necessary when you are in the office. However, it is all at a price because my normal wait time is an 1 - 2 hours after my scheduled appointment.
I LOVE Dr. Emmons! She cares about all her patients and you can tell! Shes the only doctor Ive ever known who will actually call you herself to give you your test results. Shes EXTREMELY dedicated!
