On several visits with this doctor I’ve been prescribed antibiotics despite not having any symptoms, just incidental discovery’s of “infections” upon routine checkups. Finally had an opportunity to have a second opinion after one of her “infection” diagnosis and turned out there was no infection. Use prudent judgment when taking her recommended course of treatments. Recommend second opinion if you’re in doubt.
I'm a patient of Dr Shen's. She is a very professional and enthusiastic doctor. When I went in for an annual checkup, she methodically went over all my issues and determined that there was a problem in my lungs. She quickly scheduled an x-ray and prescribed medication to help control and treat my condition. Dr Shen is a very experienced physician who is worthy of the trust I put in her as a guardian of my health.
I can’t begin to write enough good things about Dr. Shen. She has been my doctor since I was a teenager. She’s been my doctor since before her office even had computers! She’s done nothing but put my health first and when I welcomed a son into the world. He quickly started being seen by her also. She’s such a kind person, she gets to the bottom of things and doesn’t want to waste your time or hers. Easily the most discrimination I’ve ever had visiting a doctor. Emily Shen has a particular stance in her treatment and it’s clear that’s what’s more important then actually caring for the individual patient. She talked over me and left me without an absurd resolution when I was simply looking for a new primary care physician after moving and being new to this town. I am still in shock.
