Dr. Laverty has been my doctor for over two years. Her expertise, coupled with her consistently courteous and insightful approach, instills great confidence in her ability to provide comprehensive and up-to-date care. She is one of the best healthcare professionals I have ever had.
I found him to be rude and unhelpful. I had multiple PVCs on the EKG they took while I was in his office, in addition to worrying episodes outside his office. He asked if I felt the PVCs and I said yes, but he wrote in the chart that I seemed to be unaware of them??? He also told me people my age frequently have palpitations, which he ignores unless there is firm evidence of a problem, coupled with the patient being aware of the problem. That made sense but since he lied about my being aware of the PVCs, it leaves me up a cr... read more
This Dr. lacks bed side manners. She spent very little time with me… When I asked her a question, her response was your problem is psychosomatic and left.
Ridiculous that Dr. Li has any low ratings. I’m a physician and Dr. Li is my doctor. Everyone I’ve asked him to accept into his full practice has been delighted with his outstanding care. UCSD can be hard to work with but that is a common problem with University health systems and not Dr. Li’s fault.
It's frustrating ever trying to get a simple appointment. Can't ever speak to a real person just goes to an operator. Does not respond to MyChart messages. Had to switch to another provider. Syndromic of getting care at UCSD in general.
Dr Laverty was recommended by a friend. I have a rare disease (CIDP) and have had excellent progress on my current treatment. Dr. Laverty did not agree with the IVIG infusions which has kept me walking for the last 10 years. Said it was a bandaid. I listened to her concerns but felt good about my decision to continue my current treatment has worked for me for 10 years. I did finally try her way, the side effects of 2 types landed me in bed. She wanted me to try a 3rd and I said no done beginning bedridden and miserable. For ... read more
Jill Buckley performed surgery on my father this past September. Not only is he in more pain than he was pre-op, he received minimal follow-up support. During a recent post-op call, Jill questioned why he was calling her and acted defensive about the poor result of her surgery. There was no attempt to address the issue proactively moving forward. We now find ourselves in a situation of what to do, where do we go now? If a highly-rated, well-respected dr in the US behaves this way, what is the next best option? This is distur... read more
excellent retina surgeon- has saved my husbands eyesight many times and has repaired my retina once.
We saw Dr. Saenz only once and it was a tough visit. She was very stiff and even condescending. She did not want to answer questions. When my mother asked about treatment or next steps, Dr. Saenz said, ma'am you have widespread disease which was shocking and first my mother had heard this. She gave us tests to do and said, make an appointment to see me once you have these done. She gave us no idea about what was to come. She never followed up with a call and didn't answer my MyChart messages. Everything was relayed through h... read more
