My first time with a new PCP for my children. The office got me in and worked around my schedule. Walked in, checked in and we were brought right back for the appointment. The MA's were great with my kids, very friendly staff, and Dr. Homewood had them both laughing and feeling comfortable right away. I dont know where all the bad reviews are coming from. I enjoyed coming to this Doctor back in 2011, however everything has gone downhill in the last year or so. The visits are not with him but with an assistant who can't keep time, and can't count. This last Friday, I again was scheduled to see Homewood, yet he decided to take off and put me through to his assistant who was running more than an hour behind. I found Dr Homewood as a referal from a urgent care Doctor. I honestly like Dr. Homewood. I find him attentive and easy to communicate with. Never a hassle setting up an appointment or evn getting in on short notice. I have not seen or heard any confidential conversations while i was in an exam room so I dont know what thats about. The problem with these reviews is you can bash someone wihout proof of anything an then hide our identity.
Worst doctor I've ever seen! Totally unprofessional, rude and inattentive. Pays more attention to his cell phone than he does his patient. The office is disgustingly dirty. Who knows what is living in that carpet. It looks like it's never been replaced or cleaned. The are cracks and missing tile in the front and the restroom. You can also hear conversations in other rooms between him and other patients. I will NEVER go back to that office again! What an awful experience.
Felt visits were more about the money than me as a patient. Mistakes by staff in codes. Some unfair charges were made.
I was a few minutes late one time and they made me wait almost an hour and a half to fit me in. But usually they're on time and even get me in early. The doctor has been very helpful and explained things about my medication that I didn't know despite my research. They sure do bill my insurance for a lot of weird things, tho. I got billed for smoking cessation counseling that I never received and my "lab" test every time I come in is $880. Even tho they just make me pee in a cup and the test is on the cup itself. just a money hungry doctor and his office manager, well what can i say! never seen one like her before. poor choice.
Dr. Homewood is an excellent doctor. His staff is very friendly and are customer orientated, and perform their job very well. He has an excellent choice of PA's. He listens and takes time to talk with you. He has a nice smile and makes you feel at home.
I have been seeing this Dr. for many years. Recently I moved over 50 miles away, but he is such a good Dr. I drive to see him anyway. Obtaining an apt. in a timely manner is easy. He always listens and is very kind.
