I selected Dr. Pinera as my PCP based on his high ratings, but my experience was the complete opposite. He failed to show up for my scheduled appointment entirely and then expected me to log back on at his convenience later. This doctor is so rude. This is the second appointment I've had with him, and the first time I went to his clinic. When I explained my symptoms, he said, "Okay, and what do you want me to do about you?" I mean, I went because he's the doctor. If I knew what to do, I wouldn't have gone. He ordered an MRI, and it showed a tumor in my neck, for which he referred me to a neurologist. The neurologist told me she couldn't see my case and would refer me to a neurosurgeon! I have been with Dr. Pinera now since moving to Atlanta in 2021 and becoming a Kaiser Member. He is AMAZING. He has been one of my biggest advocates, especially when it comes to navigating and fighting back against insurance authorizations and approvals. Dr. Pinera is simply the best doctor I have been to. He takes time to get to know you and he really listens. I am a transgender woman and he has helped me navigate my transition with caring and respect. I can’t say enough good things about him.
