Food was very good and everything is homemade. Good portions
My husband and I absolutely loved this place. It’s intimate and feels special for a date night dinner. The food is excellent. The bread was the star of the show for us. We ordered extra to soak up the delicious sauces. We had cacio e pepe (rich, decadent, creamy) and a margherita pizza (amazing airiness and crust). The focus on good ingredients and technique is so evident. Amazing wine list as well. We will definitely be back.
EMI is a true hidden gem. It has the atmosphere and food quality of a place you’d choose for a special occasions, but it’s priced well enough to enjoy any time. Authentic Italian food with everything made fresh in-house.
Rarely do I write reviews, but I'll make an exception for EMI. I was in the area on work and my sister texted and said she'd found an Italian place with good reviews, so my brother-in-law (along to help me on the work project) decided to give it a try. So...this is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever experienced, and in St. Joe's, MO, of all places.
