Get directionsI went to the emergency dept yesterday around 5:30pm and the waiting shows 2 hrs. I already told the nurse that i have a cyst it is difficult for me to sit. She said i will put a note so that they call me soon. But no one called i had a terrible experience. I left around 10:15 pm and still nurse didn’t know how much time it will take. The person might die but no they don’t care. The most unprofessional, worst, terrible, useless emergency section.
The healthcare system is broken. I arrived here by ambulance in the middle of the night with an emergency, and I’m extremely weak I can’t even sit up properly. The chairs are completely uncomfortable for someone in my condition. I’ve been waiting for five hours, and in the morning, they told me there’s no guarantee of being seen for another 12 hours. The triage and checking in system worked very efficiently. Staff were sympathetic and caring. Efficient service..
Had severe back spazims from a knot and came in hope to get a simple painkiller prescription. 10 hours later, I was still waiting and sadly felt better just from pacing. Staff were friendly and helpful, but they seemed redundant and costly for a hospital with 80+ patients and one doctor. Hospital and province needs to work on providing doctors and service to the taxpayer.
So once you pass the triage (1 hrs in our case) they call your name, after several hours (7), you are awaiting for another 5 hrs to being tell you have to come back tomorrow morning. You still are in excruciating pain, but they don’t give you pain killer as they don’t know the source of your pain. Then you go back the following morning to do the test. Back to the waiting hours on a chair… you still are fasting as no one told you anything. Then they call your name (20 hrs since the first presence), you think ok now it’s done…... read more
