good job I have had the unfortunate experience to have to bring in more than one of my pets in for an emergency. They have always been professional and kind. It is expensive but, I understand it must be expensive to keep a complete staff and all the necessary equipment and medication despite having no idea how many pets will come in at any given time. They are there when you need them. The doctors are very knowledgeable and skilled. The techs are kind and helpful. With the previous comments regarding them being all about the... read more
There when you need them These people care enough to be there for you 24 hours a day (this is for you seizure dog lady)! You can't go to a supermarket and ask to pay later, no matter how staving you are. When I brought my pet in there, I recieved nothing but the best care for my pet. The staff were compassionate, caring, and best of all THERE. Without them my dog surely wouldn't have made it throught the night waiting for my regular veterinarian to open. I have unfortunately been to many of the emergency veterinarian clinics... read more
Thankful at a time of serious loss I had to have my 18.5 year old Siamese put down at the EAC in Peoria. The lady that put her down was one of the most kind people I have ever met. She gave me a CHOICE. She said "How do you feel?" "Do you feel that it is her time?" and then she told me that my kitty was showing signs of renal failure ( which she was, I am a vet tech student and I knew what was going on). She said that she could run tests on my cat but that they would hurt and they would cost alot. She said "your cat is an ol... read more
Rude, misleading and unprofessional. Called at around 9 PM explaining how my cat alibi may have possibley broken his leg. Concerned I wanted to take him in but I'm short on money. I told the receptionist what happened and she put me on the phone with a "tech" I explained to her the same thing but told her that I'm an 18 year old student who is in debt and has rent to pay among other bills and don't have any free cash. She told me to bring in alibi saying they couldent refuse emergency service to an animal just because of mon... read more

Treating Billy I took my dog, Billy, to my regular vet Friday because he was acting lethargic and out of sorts. My vet said that a blood test would have to be done. On Saturday, I called my vet for status. Billy had levels that were really low and he needed to be put on IV treatment. My vet said that the treatment would have to continue through Saturday night and recommended EAC. He told me the approximate cost that they'd charge and also told me about "Care Credit." I applied for care credit, was accepted. I went and got Bi... read more
It's all about the money Had to take my new puppy in she eat something toxic. Before they stated treating her they had to get there payment of $759.00. She almost died because they wanted there money first.Well they thought I should put her to sleep because she was getting worse. But as soon as we came up with the money she started getting better. It's that funny ! They decide to be a vet because they love animals some where along the way they loss the reason it's all about the $. If they would charge a more reasonable amount... read more

Emergency means Emergency I have been to this particular Emergency room several times and had nothing but good experiences. Yes it is expensive, and yes you will wait a long time, but you do that at human ERs as well, there is a reason they call it EMERGENCY Animal Clinic. They are there 24 hours which means they have to staff and equip 24 hours so of course they are going to be expensive, but if you love your animal and don't want to see it suffer, you will wait as long as it takes and pay what you can. I have had animals m... read more
