I am so very thankful to have found Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge ! We are here on vacation in Destin, FL. & we found a baby possum without mother and no other babies in sight. They were quick to lend a helping hand on rehabilitating this little one & for That we are thankful !

We drove from Panama City to take a baby opossum that we rescued from our front yard. We were greeted by sweet employees and volunteers. We were given a lot of information on how they were going to care for the little one we brought in. We want our own rescue liscense, so finding a place that I felt comfortable taking her was important to me. They will make sure an animal is taken care of! I found a turtle with a cracked shell on the road (hit by a car,alive and very mad) called and they said no problem! and brought him in- hoping he makes a full recovery! 🐢

Thought there was more there but paid and was done seeing everything in under 15 minutes, thought we’d see animals that were hurt or injured being taking care of

What an amazing center we have in our community to help our wildlife. It was an incredible evening to tour the facility and see the wonderful work the staff and volunteers run! Thank you for the opportunity to see the great work that you do!
