Don't recommend coming here. I was hired to be a personal trainer here and told them when I first interviewed that because of my own business I was only going to be available part time to which they said that won't be a problem fast forward a couple weeks and they would either cancel my shifts the day before or I would drive down to only be told that I didn't have to be there. I've been a trainer for almost 10 years and have never been treated more unprofessionally than I was here!
My partner and I were members for nearly two years, and to be honest, we did enjoy the actual facilities. However, the management of the Columbia City location is an absolute embarrassment. We had plans to move out of state, and as such, submitted two separate requests to cancel our memberships as required by the contract we signed. I received a confirmation email; my partner did not. In my opinion, this is the worst gym I have ever attended. They do not care at all about their customers and would do anything to manipulate you and scam you. This is the first gym that would charge customers during the lockdown as well as the worst economic crisis we have ever had. Their staff is extremely racist, transphobic and homophobic. RecommendedThis is the first gym that I've joined and I've been working with Veronica for just about a week and a half now and have already lost about 2.5 lbs of body fat while gaining muscle. The team is amazing and super motivating and Veronica pushes and encourages me like I've never experienced before.
Covid has shown what kind of people run this place. They charged for membership even while closed, they didn't extend the memberships for those who had pre-paid their memberships, and when those pre-paid memberships ended, they refused to refund any money if a month got charged when the contract rolled over into month to month. I understand that is how the contract reads, but I think that because of Covid, they should make exceptions, especially for people who may have co-morbidities. Great club.Large area with wide variety of equipment. Friendly staff. Very sanitary.
You can be high risk and on immunosuppressants with a note from your doctor saying covid will kill you, but you either have to show up in person to cancel or go out and get stamps and envelopes to mail a letter with renal failure. In the middle of a pandemic. They refuse to cancel under any other circumstances which says all I need to know about this place!
One of my favorite places! The staff and members are pretty friendly and considerate to others. It's a nice place to get your energy out.
The staff has been so understanding and friendly since covid reopen. So grateful for the dedication and time their putting in for us to be able to go to the gym.
