Farm brewery approx 2 mi w of IL R 47. Nice neat modern farm place setting. Only saw from road as close to closing. Will return as liked first impression.
Emancipation is an exception to any micro brew, all of their beer I tried was really good. They had a Kolsch that is coming back home with me, along with a yummy Marzen. Unusual location, in the middle of farm land, on a working farm, that's not typical for a brewery, but that only adds to the experience, friendly helpful bar tenders, cleanliness is paramount. I would come back any time. Rotating food trucks for food, which is separate from the brewery. Brewery offers snacks as well. Complete two thumbs up.
Enjoy a beer (or non-alcoholic brew- see pic) at this family-owned brewery surrounded by a hop garden and rows of corn. Snacks are offered (see pic), as well as a rotating selection of food trucks (see website). The beer menu mentions that you can bring your own food. And, DOG-FRIENDLY outdoor area with picnic tables (not inside nor in the covered lean-to).
Great place to stop!
Was only there for about an hour, but it's charming, tranquil country atmosphere, far enough away from civilization to be an ideal spot to kicknup your feet and watch the corn grow. The beer that we had was quite good, with hops grown on site. I loved the patio with it's large seating area.
