My chart was transferred to her and she was not a good match. I’ve had a few neurologist and she is the worst person I’ve seen. She asks questions and does nothing to treat your disease. I’d give her a zero if it was possible.
The absolute worst doctor i have had to encounter with. She held us up in ER And stroke unit. And when she came jn spent less than 3 minutes with the us. If i could give her zero stars i would. Made us wait 12 hours. No answers to the questions
She deserve NO STAR at all. My mom had her 1st stroke and was rushed into ER. Dr Emami was the assigned neurologist. She was very rude and short with us and ignored our questions cutting us off and said nothing she can do and left without even providing any details, next steps, recommendations. Stroke is a very serious matter and for her to not care for her patient and provide NO HELP is her not doing her duties as a doctor. DO NOT RECOMMEND. She doesn't deserve to even be called a doctor. I've been seeing Dr. Emami for several years and find her thorough, professional and totally dedicated to patient care. I recommend her skill and abilities without reservation. The office staff are also great partners to Dr. Emami's care, though I concur that sometimes getting calls to the pharmacy to approve/extend prescriptions can take a second callback.
My husband was referred to Dr. Emami by our regular physician, and we found her to be thorough, insightful, and ready to work with us on all the variables that could possible be influencing his illness before jumping to a diagnosis. She was patient and never made us feel rushed. The office gal was super nice and very patient with us. We're happy to have Dr. Emami on our team for my husband's illness.
Warning. A professional is only as good as the care you receive. If you develop prescription medication problems from this Dr., GOOD LUCK! It will take DAYS for office response; and they will ignore requests to see Dr. even when you are having a serious reaction or side effect to medication she prescribed. Unacceptable/unprofessional way to treat patients. Single star ONLY because I can't put ZERO. Can't trust a medical practice if you are refused help when you need it.
Dr. Emami has been a great help with my Chronic Migraines. She has been very helpful trying new treatments and educating me about any concerns I have. Currently Botox injections have worked the best. I highly recommend her and her office. The office may take a little time to get back to you as they are not in office full time. But don't let that stop you from seeing her. The Staff is great!
She does not deserve one single star. She ignored my father, the patient. She scolded him for driving when she never told him not to drive. She was so mad at him that she said she was reporting him to the DMV as having alzheimers and being an unsafe driver. We went to see her for neuropathy, not alzheimer. You know what is worse than a doctor who wants you in and out of her office in 5 mins? The patient paying cash, the receptionist making NO NOTE OF IT, and then getting a bill sent to your house for the co pay again. This really breaks my heart that people still do this. I am a full time student and part time city worker, and I work and struggle really hard for my money. I have no idea how people have the heart to just take someone's money like that.
