Very nice atmosphere and beautiful building. The fried pickles and cheese curds were great. The kids steak was cooked perfectly and my daughter couldn’t get enough of it. My wife’s pasta was so tasty and my walleye was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant. Darcy was amazing!
My family and I go to Ely’s Ivy quite often, and we’re never disappointed. I usually stick to my favorites—the Reuben, the chicken schnitzel sandwich, or the blackened chicken sandwich. For sides, you can’t go wrong with the veggie of the day, though they also offer chips, fries, and Pommes Paillasson(kind of a tater stick). They also have a great variety of cocktails; I especially enjoy their seasonal mules.
They have great vegan options as well as specialty dishes. The atmosphere is warm and laid back. I go here almost every time I'm in Grand Forks.
I have no idea how the food is because my daughter and I were seated and then waited almost 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that we were there. Multiple wait staff walked right by us and nothing. When we did have a waitress approach us to take our drink order I told her yes we have been waiting well over ten minutes for service.
