He acts like a salesman, not a doctor. He's constantly pitching you new drugs, certain pharmacies, etc. He blatantly lied about certain aspects of drugs. He doesn't answer calls or e-mails. His assistant is blatantly rude. He comes in late to meetings. Don't bother- if your insurance covers anyone else, pick them.
Dr. Ruiz has been my psychiatrist for 5 years. His office has been much more organized in the last year due to a better assistant. He is always doing research on the latest medication findings and listens to my problems to try and find a solution.
Terrible experience! I showed up for my 10:30 appointment and was told the doctor was "stuck in traffic" At 11:15 I was told he was still 30 minutes away. I waited an hour for this doctor to not show up! I find this disrespectable and extremely unprofessional. What kind of person just fails to show up for a first-time patient???? WASTE OF TIME! The receptionist could not care less!
Dr. Ruiz listened to me, asked excellent questions, and prescribed an anti-depressant that has turned out to be much more helpful than that which I had been prescribed by my previous therapists. I see him for monthly follow-ups and his staff is excellent. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ruiz to anyone who feels that his/her current treatment is not working.
Dr. Ruiz listened to me and determined my nervous condition very well. He suggested I try one type of medication that needed to be changed right away. He was very good at making the changes and explaining to me in detail how the new drug I was about to take would work differently, I have been on this drug for about 6 months, no side affects and its helping me with my nervousness. I see Dr. Ruiz now every two months and Im always treated very nicely and most of important listened to.
Dr. Ruiz is very professional and caring. He takes time with his patients and is very careful about what he prescribes. I value his expertise.
I am pretty sure this guy is running some kind of prescription med scam. There is no way he is a real doctor. He barely listened to a word a said and practically rushed me out of the room while pushing some heavy drugs on me. After three days, the meds were definitely not working and he would not return my call to help me out. Find someone else!
