We take our daughter to a half hour dance class across the street and when we parked on the PUBLIC street parking you came running out to tell us that it is an hour parking. We also experienced your rude abrupt behavior on other instances. We would love to get our daughter a treat after dance class but we will NEVER come to your bakery because of your rude behavior. I parked in front of your bakery, got out of my car to look for a business that was on the same block, and before I could even take 3 steps onto the sidewalk, you came out to tell me that there is 1 hour parking on Saturdays in front your store. I am well aware of that, and maybe you cool your jets before running out to police the street. Rude.
RecommendedElmwood has the best cakes any were hands down. There quality control has gone down a little in the last 20 years, I also noticed that the last couple years the frosting starts to melt faster then it used to? But I’m sure supplies change over the years. Still the best cakes on the planet. I have had cakes there for over 43 years. My mom grew up with Elmwood Bakery date nut cake. For Mother’s Day we decided last minute to order a cake for her. The staff was so friendly. When I came to pick up the cake, it was gorgeous! It was in the shape of a heart even💜. The cake was delicious and my mom absolutely loved it. Thank you, Elmwood Bakery!
This little bakery should NOT be missed! Stop in a be prepared to salivate. The sticky buns are a family staple for every holiday. We also love the lemon cake, bacon rolls, and so much more! We just ordered 214 pies for our clients and Elmwood was on point! Outstanding!

Elmwood Bakery in Lakewood has been around for decades and is legendary...so many great memories of stopping in on the walk to Harding Middle school for a doughnut, or picking up a loaf of fresh rye bread for my grandma who lived nearby (and getting an Elephant Ear as a treat!). My cousin's birthdays were highly anticipated because we knew we'd be eating their famous date nut cake!
