Best ever! I love the Elmwood Bakery! It's old school and at the top of its class. The pastries melt in your mouth. The cakes are outstanding. It's is far better than any other cake you could get at some chain-bakery. It's the real deal!
Michael and Emily Quinn *Absolute Perfection!* Do yourself a favor and stop into the bakery! The Rerko family has perfected baked goods and will be on top of my list as long as I have taste buds! My husband and I just ate a piece of our wedding cake from over the weekend and can't imagine going with any other bakery. If you are getting married or know anyone who is, please go with Elmwood bakery! We love them and you will too!!
Closest to Hough's Bakery I Can Find I used to love Hough's bakery cakes and since they closed I haven't found anything even close until I had one of Elmwood's cakes. They melt in your mouth and the taste is to die for!!
My favorite bakery... My first birthday cake was from Elmwood, as my family and I lived in Lakewood. Even after moving to NC, I still came back for their cakes! AMAZING!!
Shop Lakewood! Treat yourself and those you love to Elmwood's cream cheese muffins. You can't eat just one! They also have some of theold fashioned favorites such as bear claws and poppyseed danish.
AWESOME BAKERY! I would like to submit a response to the bad review titled "Rude-too busy for special orders bla bla bla"...First of all, I have been using Elmwood Bakery for over 30 years. Shame on You Lakewood and Elmwood Bakery should be ashamed of themselves. For anyone to complain about an entrepeneur trying to start up a business in greater Cleveland in this economy is embarassing!!! I previously supported Elmwood Bakery but after their attitude toward the Hodge Podge food truck I will no longer frequent their store. Rude-Too busy for special orders I was referred to this bakery since they do not use premixes for their cakes and I wanted a cake without certain preservatives and artificial ingredients. However, when I spoke to the baker, he said that all of their ingredients have additives and he refused to take the time to tell me what additives were in their ingredients. Deliciuos! Excellent bakery! The new chocolate chip cookies are amazing and they sell the best cream cheese frosted brownies in the world! I have been shopping there for years and never purchased a bad product. Everthing is very fresh and delicious. As to the comment of too expensive, all I can say, is you get what you pay for.
