Like a true diner, we serve homemade food and breakfast all the time. We have comfy booths, as well as tables, and lots of high chairs and boosters for the little ones! We are a gathering place where locals are sure to see someone they know and visitors are likely to make new friends. We're a community restaurant both in the sense that we are a local favorite and in the sense that we strive to be good neighbors and give back to our community

Meat loaf bathe in tomato sauce. 2 Flie swarming .
Work near by and have heard mixed reviews....tried the Taco Salad and was greatly disappointed, tried a burger the next go round and that was just okay, but today I had an omelette that reminded me of the Sahara Desert! The omelette was cooked WELL done and the toppings were not incorporated rather put in the middle and the egg folded over them! I was halfway through the omelette before I tasted the cheese. Guy won't be dropping by here anytime soon! And I'll only be back for the chocolate cake...I must admit it was awesome!

Found this place through my Yelp app. Needed a restaurant to satisfy a picky husband and 2 kids that was reasonably priced. The food here was awesome! We all enjoyed our entrees (my husband had the orange French toast, my older son a grilled cheese on sourdough and my younger the pancake combo). I had the salmon cakes. I have enjoyed Elmo's in Durham for years now. My favorite dish is their breakfast shrimp and grits on weekends. On Sunday, before church, I decided to meet other family members for a quick breakfast at Elmo's in Carrboro since it's closer to our church. I arrived first so I asked for a table for 4.
