The location is this apartment’s only redeeming quality. The management is very out of touch and antiquated. The price point was ok, but they will try to increase the rent on you after a year of living there then charge a new resident the same rent that you paid. I would not recommend living there longer than a year. You have to pay rent by check which indicates this establishment may be having cash flow problems or does not understand what a computer can do. Management is hopeless. I have been trying to get a security deposit check back from them for over 3 months and all I get are excuses from Linda every single time. They dodge the issue and claim that the owner has a stack of over 20 checks he has yet to sign leading me to wonder why that’s the case for the other former tenants facing the same issue. We lived here for a year and only left because we were driven out of the state by the lockdowns. We absolutely loved living here and still think of it fondly. The location is fantastic, The building was nice, attractive, and clean. The apartment was quiet and cozy. The staff is extremely friendly, personable, and helpful. If we were to ever consider living in Illinois again we wouldn't hesitate to make this our home again.
