Formerly the Winecoff Hotel, The Ellis is an elegant historic boutique hotel located in Downtown Atlanta. Following a huge fire in 1946, it was renovated and reopened. The premises are said to be haunted, and guests have reported unexplained sightings. The rooms are elegant and comfortable. This is probably one of the few hotels that has a separate women's only floor with added security. Conveniently located it is ideal for the business traveler as well as for those on leisure. Trendy and chic boutique hotel with modern convenience. Surrounded by several local restaurants in the heart of downtown Atlanta! Have seat, grab a drink and enjoy this "live blues and jazz" venue.
Great Hotel BUT..... – It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at referer.us/8/GoodHotelDeals They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

The hotel bills itself as a boutique hotel and that it is not, but it was a good hotel with good proximity to the highway and major streets in/out of Atlanta. I stress that it isn't a boutique hotel because it is just a 'formula' and if you want a true boutique experience try one of the B&Bs Atlanta has to offer. Nice robes!

The staff is great and the rooms are really beautiful and modern (and comfy beds!). Valet parking is pricey but you really have few other choices. My big "whine" is about the breakfast at the restaurant. We went down to see what was happening at the breakfast area. It looked slightly more than a usual complimentary continental breakfast, so we went ahead and joined the confusion. There seems t... read more
Trendy hotel at good rates – I had heard of the Ellis Hotel before, but never actually visited until recently. One of my co-workers from out of town stayed here and I was so impressed. Everything from the lobby to the guestrooms is beautiful. The staff was very courteous. The lobby bar was a great place to hang out after work as well. We've actually had other out of town staff book rooms here after my co-workers original visit based on our recommendation. I will consider booking a room here when attending events at Ga Dome o... read more
Southern comfort modernized, the Ellis Hotel is clean, classy and cool. – In Short A beautiful restoration of the historic Winecoff Hotel, the Ellis Hotel sticks with what works. Its simple, modern design keeps the rooms spacious, escaping from flashy decor that clutters--a sort of regal feel that stays young with minimalist style. Lodged on the second floor, the E. Street Grille provides a perfect, people-watching patio for southern small plates or a glass of vino. With a free business center, fitness center and Internet, y... read more
