Absolutely ridiculous and completely unacceptable. My grandmother has been admitted to this hospital for over 10 days. She pressed the call button twice because she needed assistance getting to the bathroom. Nobody came. She eventually felt like she was going to urinate on herself and tried to get up on her own, despite needing assistance, and unfortunately slipped and fell. Terrible bedside manner, takes twice as long getting anything done here than it does at Albany, Saratoga, or Saint Peter’s. My wife hit the call nurse button about 5-6 times over the course of 15-20 min with absolutely zero response. Thankfully we were getting her IV removed instead of an actual medical emergency or she would have been dead before any of the nurses responded to the call button. If you have a medical emergency, you’re far better off going to wellnow than you are at Ellis Hospital
9/27/2026 while waiting in the waiting room 4 so called employees behind the counter were constantly cursing for a good 2 hours and also very loud and making fun of current and previous patients.
Terrible patient care. Lack of compassion. Doctors never talk to patient families or Proxy. Neglect of elderly
I usually go to Albany med or Albany Memorial now called Samaritan. I came here the last time I needed medical care and I’m here today. I wanna know why I get stuck waiting in a chair in a room? Both times I’m 61 years old and I sure would like to lay down right about now because I am forever waiting. Edited 9/25/26 Why is it every time I come here I never get a bed.
