Due to a birth injury to my right shoulder, as well as a torn rotator cuff I needed my shoulder replaced. Because of several experimental surgeries in the 1950s other orthopedic surgeons were reluctant to touch it. Dr Mark Smith was immediately confident, and the surgery was extremely successful. Thank you, Dr Smith. Five years later, in 2018, I chose Dr. Smith to replace my left knee. I was very pleased with my last visit at Ellis and Badenhausen. I did not get the results that I wanted ( Torn rotator cuff ) but I am very pleased that Dr. Popham will be taking care of my injury. Dr. Popham is hands-down the best doctor that I have ever seen. He actually listens and cares about my injury. He sent me down to talk to the PT folks and I met a PT named Krista and I had the same experience. Once again it was very comfortable and soothing. I highly recommend this group!
Dr. Salamon listens to my concerns and explains the reasoning behind his treatment plan. He has always been straightforward in telling me if surgery is indicated or if there is an alternative at the time. I have recommended him to several others with foot and ankle problems.
1. I was able to get in quickly. 2. Dr. Schaper is pleasant with a good bedside manner. 3. Dr. Schaper doesn't rush into doing surgery. 4. The staff is friendly. 5. Although my knee is very painful, Dr. Schaper was honest about the fact that the cortisone shot might or might not do the job because the is so much arthritis. Btw, it has relieved some pain so walking is more bearable.
