I arrived for my first appointment to find the office locked and dark. It was a Saturday at 9am so I figured they must be the only one working that day and they would open up once they arrived. I had multiple confirmations of an appointment and I booked through the phone with the lady who co-ordinates availability to avoid any conflicts. The care provided was phenomenal. My therapist was attentive, caring and truly took the time to hear and understand me. She also was direct and honest when I needed it. I highly recommend.
I never really understood all of the talk about mental health until I got really really down. I had been down before but this time I couldn't handle things on my own. For the first time in my life, I went to counseling with an open heart. The team here literally helped save my life. Since then, my wife has switched counselors, my kids have gotten help, and I have never been more grateful. At my initial appointment, the therapist was ten minutes late. She didn't make up for it at the end... During the session she talked a lot about herself, a lot about her credentials (excessively), seemed bent on calling everyone in my life abusers. I will concede there is abusive behaviors, but I felt like she wanted me to think about everyone in my life as the devil.
