I had braces to correct overcrowding and bite. Dr's personality at consultation does not reflect actual personality during treatment. I found him to be very condescending and arrogant; provided little explanation and was irritated with any questions - from anyone. Seems to prefer working with children than adults - should not take adult patients. Results are awful. I have a crooked smile now and do not like smiling, where I once smiled all the time. I am now going to seek corrective help from someone else.
My children have the best smiles and I owe that to Dr. E! His advanced techniques and state of the art practices insured that my kids would have lasting smiles. I was impressed with Dr. E's credentials and the fact that he teaches at UCSF. My kids smile all the time! Dr. E cares immensly about his patients and how thier bites turn out.
Let me tell you about his staffs, Dr. E, and his office: 1. His staffs are amazing and highly professional service (FRIENDLY). They are so nice and FASHIONABLE!! A++++ 2. Dr. E: Don't judge his personality, but judge his TECHNIQUE is IMPORTANT. His technique is extremly FAR ADVANCED. (NO B.S!!) I think Dr. E is one of the BEST. Dr. E left my teeth in worse shape than they were in before. The result has been repid bone loss, pain when biting. Cost of repair work so far $9000 (more than the cost of the ortho). Likelihood of losing teeth in the next few years due to poor work: very high. Would not recommend. They are sloppy, not professional, and not competent.
I am sickened by my experience with Dr. E. from whom I received treatment for 21/2 years. My results are poor both asthetically and functionally. I am still suffering from TMJ-related issues which is why I was referred to Dr. E in the first place, but Dr. E. has refused to see me since my first post-braces appt. with him in January. Our two daughers have had all sorts of problems with their teeth and TMJ, etc. We visited many local orthodontics and decided to go with Dr. E after speaking with him and looking at his results. Good overall result for my son and daughter. Communication regarding what's going on with treatment non existent unless parent is proactive about asking for an update. Appointment availability to suit our schedule is poor.
Dr. E is good and the Saratoga office is awesome.. Soon the Willow Glen office will be up and running just like Saratoga.
Dr. E is a brilliant orthodontist. He has done my ortho care and the ortho for my son. OUr smiles are always complimented. People cannot believe how beautiful our teeth are. From the beginning Dr. E stated that he was not Mr Personality, but a perfectionist and an educator. He made my child and I comfortable and knowledgeable. He even has encouraged my son to enter the dental field.
