Took my mother for brunch today cause she hadn’t been in over 10 years and I had never been. She said it was good then so I was excited to try it. The restaurant was cold inside and the food at the buffet was even cold. They did have a few items that I did like but unfortunately couldn’t really enjoy because it was cold. I didn’t see a omelet station that I thought they had. I don’t think it was worth the price they charge for the buffet at all. But we did have a sweet and attentive waitress. Probably won’t ever go back.
The place is so quaint and unique. When we travel, rule number one is "no chains" and rule number 2 is to look for local flavor. The food was exceptional and the options were varied and eclectic. So many creative food pairings. The menu showed a passion for food and the end result proved the chef/ kitchen staff is nothing short of gifted. Excellent food, great service and reasonable prices.
We are from Ohio and always on the hunt fir a great Thanksgiving Buffet. Ellendale’s ranks in the top 3! Without a doubt the best food in the last 5 years. When I visit Nashville again, Ellendale’s will be on my list to visit. In the meantime, I’m sending all my Nashville friends in!
