* WARNING WARNING WARNING * Do NOT use Elkhorn as your bank. My wife and I have been banking with Elkhorn for over 20 years. They used to be courteous and professional. Now, they don't answer the phone, they don't return phone calls, and the banking officers give vague feedback. If you have a mental handicap, they will take advantage of you. If you have to be in the hospital and get behind on your loan, even if it's only 1 1/2 months, they will foreclose on you. We have paid on our home loan, faithfully, for over 15 years. N... read more
I stopped using them when they ended up taking money out of my account without my knowledge. After talking to a manager they finally gave back the money, but if I didnt bring it up, they'd just close out my account. And later when I was there with a family member to open an account they would not open an account with them even though they had money. Weird way to bank, never going back.
