A couple of months ago I was buying a condo (reno). While it sounds weird to hire an inspector for a condo, this was the best decision I could have made. The condo was in a three flat building so it was more like buying one third of a house. Luckily thanks to Voytek's knowledge I was able to dodge a few unexpected expenses which the previous owner was trying to conveniently conceal (an old furnace at the end of its life span, a leaky drain in the wall and some rotten flooring in the bathroom). Elite inspections is great. I've seen other inspectors do a moderate walk through during an inspection and point out what is readily visible. This is not the case for the inspection I witnessed. My inspector was on the roof of the home! He was able to point out some rough patches on the roof that were not visible from the street. He was also able to point out and show me where they had done repairs on plumbing recently set up drywall to cover up the repairs done on the home.
