I'll definitely return – I went there around 6pm during the week - on purpose, so it'd be less noisy - and had a wonderful experience. Everyone was smiling, from the hostesses to the waitstaff, and so pleasant. The service was prompt and courteous and we were never left waiting for our wine, entrees or the check. Top 10 Restaurant – Eleven Madison is my recommendation for special occasion dining. Khalid, one of their servers had remembered me from my previous dining experience there (over a year ago!). Needless to say, the service is superb. The food even better --- Kerry the chef came out to personally meet his diners. Groups or Dates – My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at this well-known restaurant. My earlier skepticism that Eleven Mad could be the typical overly en-mode restaurant actually turned out to be an extremely inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The attentive staff truly lifted the experience and the food lived up to its reputation as a great culinary showcase.
Excellent dining – Great place for an anniversery, or special event - the room is beautiful, the service is very attentive without being aloof and the food is devine. The portions are just right (although I'm sure out-of-towners would be dissappointed by the size.) There's a french influence to the food but I've no idea why the previous review got so twisted up, they don't claim to be french at all. Oh and don't miss the souffle....!
So this is French food? – Went to this establishment with a french female trying to impress her with my knowledge of french food and wine. Unfortunately, this place didn't help. The food was dull and uninteresting. I don't think just giving you small servings necessarily constitutes being french cuisine. Wow – Great meal. Wonderful place where you can hear each other speak. The chocolate souffle for dessert is an experience unto itself
A Great Meal – This place is so nice. Went here for a nice, romantic dinner and had such a good time. So many wines to choose from which is always a plus. The tuna tartare is a MUST. The skate was perfectly done and there was just too much to choose from for dessert. I would definitely come back here!
Beautiful and Romantic – I checked out Eleven Madison for the first time during this year's Restaurant Week. I found Eleven Madison Park to be an ideal destination for those who are in search of a romantic dinner. While most restaurants attempt to embarass you into asking for a RW Menu, Eleven Madison actually included their selections in their actual menu. The waiters treated us as if we were royalty and the cheeze puffs were out of this world. A most do if you are in New York city.
Stellar Service! – Had the 5-course tasting menu. Everything was great. But it was the service that made the experience excellent!!! They were incredibly attentive, and we ended up getting many more than 5 courses. We couldn't even touch the last one. We were so full. We didn't want to leave. Get the chocolate souffle.
