About this business

Located in a historic Columbus building once used as a whiskey distillery, The Elevator Brewery and Draught Haus follows suite with their re-imagined space. Serving up elevated pub grub like chorizo nachos and their signature rock fillet of tenderloin or ahi tuna cooked on a tulikivi firestone, the brewery offers more than good beer. Seasonal and specialty brews rotate throughout the year with winter ales and IPA's and light lagers.

Great Food! – Not sure about the other reviews that rate the food as awful but I had a fine dining experience on New Year's Eve! The beer was great, the food was great, the atmosphere was great, the service was great!

Try elsewhere – The food is terrible. The service is hit or miss. The beer can be very good, but you have to pick the right one. Don't drink the beer of the month. I suggest having a mixed drink, or ESB or Pilsner, and shooting pool on some of the coolest pool tables around. If you're not into pool, GO ELSEWHERE!!! This place is not worth your money for food and drinks. There are much cooler places to go just slightly north of the Elevator. Try the Arena District, Short North or German Village (slightly south).

DON'T EAT THE FOOD!!! – The place is very good on the eyes. Take my advise and don't test your stomach. The food is awful (and over-priced). The beer is pretty good but it would be nice to have at least a small selection of bottled beers. The bartenders are friendly when they are not too busy. If you must eat, I suggest having a few beers and some chicken wings - about the only thing they can't mess up. I guarantee you can find better places to eat and drink in Columbus.

EXCELLENT DRINKS ??? FOOD – I have only gone to the Elevator Brewery once, however, EVERY drink I bought there was better than the SAME drink ANYWHERE else I have gone. Bartender was nice, prompt and talkative, not like some bars where you are almost ignored. Drinks were about average price maybe .25 cents to a dollar more. I did not eat the food as I have heard mixed things and would rather go to Chipotles, Hounddogs Pizzaria, or Blue Danube for something a little cheaper. I say go for the drinks and if you have the cash tr... read more

Gotta get the Pasta – This restaurant is really good. Its a good gathering place with friends. For appetizers the Pot stickers are wonderful. Most of the Pasta Dishes are fantastic a must order. They have great desserts also. Our waiter was very good. We will go back again because of the food and service.

What were they smoking? – I'm not sure what the other reviewers were smoking, but it certainly wasn't the cigars at the elevator. We found the food to be fantastic. Try the "Stone Rock Filet", a dish which allows YOU to roast your steak (or fish) to perfection, if you're in the mood for something new. In addition, the wine selection was excellent (we recommend the Mendocino Syrah). The service was quick and courteous. The stained glass, classic decor and paintings hung throughout the restaurant made conversation interesting ... read more

Lucky to Have This! – This is a great place to stop in the Brewery/Arena District of downtown Columbus before a hockey game or a night at the symphony. The food is slightly over priced but very good. The decor is beautiful, with definite art-deco surroundings and blue hues everywhere. Now, on to the beer. The bar is set up almost like an old-fashioned soda-fountain, with taps all the way down. They have a healthy selection of beers, all of which are better than average. I recommend the APA or Nut Brown. There are a lot of co... read more

Bad Bartending – Nice atmosphere and good beer. However, the service at the bar was slow and the bartenders (if that's what you could call these eighth grade dropouts) were extremely rude. This probaby explains why such a nice place was almost empty on a Friday night. I probably won't come back.
