Absolutely the BEST – Elen's Kids is absolutely the best. Clearly nan37 (she is a man) is as rude and crude as one can be. It is clear why the agency would steer clear of him/her, calling a young girl 300 pounds. He is clearly a pervert. Elen's Kids is a GREAT family run business. Julie and Tracy have is right. Gave Them the Opportunity to Prove Reviews Wrong – I read the reviews prior to contacting Elen's Kids, but kept an open mind when I called them to inquiry about how their process works. A girl answered the phone in a friendly manner. I asked how the process works and she told me that it all starts with an interview with the child and parents and that a 1 or 2 day notice is usually all that is given before a go-see in the City. Don't trust them. – I received "the letter" in the mail saying that my child has been brought to their attention... yea ok.. It was sent to my mother-in-law's house (the only address we gave to the hospital when he was born) so they must scan hospital records for recent births and get your information that way. Anyway, I called to make an appointment.. they seemed nice on the phone until I asked if there are any fees. SKETCHY. – So I received on of their standard letters that say "your child has come to our attention" and was suckered into the idea of calling (should have been my first warning) Well I made the appointment. And it sounded like the gentleman had a whole speech prepared of what to say. Should've been my second warning. Well, I will say he (elen's husband) was very nice on the phone. They want MONEY from YOU ***SCAM*** – If you are interested in getting your child into modeling, commercials, etc. you should NEVER have to put out money as the agency will be making money off of your child ONCE work is done. Therefore, this company asking for $599 UPFRONT for their "program" is nothing more than a scam. I want other parents not to waste their time going to the 'interview' process. The owner, Mr Field was very nice but reminded me of a used car salesman.

WONDERFUL AGENCY - VERY HAPPY FAMILY – It never ceases to amaze me how "parents" can write things they know nothing about. My 2 kids have been Elen's Kids for the past 3 years and LOVE going on assignments. My kids are having a BLAST. Elen's Kids has opened up a world for my kids they never would have seen. MY FAMILY LOVES ELEN'S KIDS, and so do I. Kudos to Elen and her Staff. I agree with the previous author to describe them: PROFESSIONAL & BUSY.

You do not have to pre-pay an agency – We traveled from NY to NJ to meet w/ Irv. He was pleasant and we were impressed by him. I looked online to learn more about agencies, but didn't find a whole lot out. He convinced us to sign a contract and pay the $595 fees up front and told us we had 3 days to cancel. We then learned 1 week later that it's illegal for an agency to ask you to pre-pay for any services. That an agency works for you, and when they get your bookings they get their commission. ELEN'S KIDS IS A GREAT COMPANY FOR KIDS – I couldn't be happier having my kids as part of Elen's Kids. Clearly there are unhappy parents whose kids are unable to book jobs. The staff at Elen's Kids have always been very helpful and kind. My kids have been on all types of assignments (TV, print and movies) and are having a blast in the process. I am VERY happy that my kids are part of the Elen's Kids. A very satisfied parent.
