My grandson has dreads and his hair hadn't been done properly in awhile So it got to a point where some of the dreads had started falling out. Ok first things first, this place needs a major renovation. Its junky inside, trash all outside and out of date. Next, every single time I booked an appointment, the stylist was always atleast an hour late, but yet they want to get paid in full when they are done. That is beyond inconsiderate. I would also watch some stylist talk on their phones when they are doing clients hair. The clients are better than me because I wouldn't shut that down real quick, you will NOT be doing my hair on the phone!

My daughter had her hair done on a Tuesday night, she got feed braids. Thursday I went back because the braids was coming out at the back. I had to go back twice on Friday to get the same girl to finally do it and it was so much attitude and said I would have to add money if she got another braid style that was tighter. I will never go back.

This is the absolute WORST place!!!!!!!!!!! I came in the afternoon, and everyone acted like they did not want to do my hair. (I have fine thick curly hair not even shoulder length) Then they ran out of the color I wanted in the middle of doing my hair like more than halfway through. Then the one lady told me I could come back the next day to get my hair done...Are you serious??? Some of us have work during the week...like cmon. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! I went there two weeks ago to get Micros and my experience was horrible! I used to get Micros at least once or twice a year so I'm well aware of how long it should take to do the Micros and the whole procedure. I have fine shoulder length hair, with layers, and it took them TEN HOURS to finish my hair. That's with them not even fully super gluing the micros, once braided past my hair, to ensure the braids don't fall out. All I can said is: AWESOME!!!. The braiders made me feel and look awesome. Detty and her staff are warm and really friendly. They played the best African flicks while I was there. Detty's husband made you feel at home. If you want to look ELEGANT you got to go to Elegance Hair Braiding. THEY ARE THE BEST IN TOWN!!!!

I wanted to try something new and come out my element of the Kinky Twist so I called Elegance Hair in Suitland and spoke with Detty and her voice was inviting. She asked me what time I wanted to come in and I said 7AM and that was not a problem for Detty. I was there and she took care of me. Her and her husband made me feel aat home and I was fed well. If you ever want style and elegnace call Detty and you will be what I am.....PLEASED

I was very happy with how my hair turned out. I had been wearing my hair really short and wanted a change. I came in and Francine did human hairf micro braids and they were perfect. She made them look so full you would have never known my hair was short. I also came back for braid removal wich would have taken me forever but it took 2hours and a reasonable price and I got a wash and an appointment for Senegalese Twists. No worries is the attitude that i have when im, getting my hair braided. at "ELEGANCE" i can have short hair, long hair, red hair, Detty and the elegance crew never let me down I always have the best looking braids in town, If u never get compliments on anything else u will get an compliment on ur hair......awsome customer service also come with the best braids so thats the ultimate package. i've been comming 7 yrs and dont plan too stop.
