We can't thank Elder Veterans Legal Aid Group enough for helping us get our father's VA benefits granted to help cover his much needed assisted living services! No one prepares you for how expensive assisted living costs are today, and Dad was in serious bind, needing VA assistance. My siblings and I are so appreciative of the work Seritha Wright and Elder Veterans Legal Aid Group did in securing financial assistance for my mother, who has entered assisted living. Seritha Wright and Elder Veterans Legal Aid Group made a wonderful difference for the elderly relative I am responsible for. It takes a while, but they secured her almost $1100 a month of greatly needed on-going money for her care, plus back payments for 5 months. We had been taking care of my WW2 veteran father for a couple years before we found out he may be eligible for some benefits. I tried to navigate the VA system on my own, but it was frustrating and confusing. A Place for Mom turned me onto EVLAG.
