My son is 3 years old and autistic. It is very difficult to get him to get him to open his mouth, brush his teeth, and sit still. The dental hygienist was an angel! His patience and support was unmatched. Once I alerted him of my son’s diagnosis he immediately stepped into high gear with kindness, softness and compassion. My son wouldn’t sit still for x-rays and since there were no significant concerns he didn’t put him through the stress of trying, stating he didn’t leave my son with a feeling of fear of the dentist. I have had the best experience with Dr. Martinez and all the staff at Dentistry 4 Kids. We came from a different pediatric dentist, and it has been such a great decision. The office is inviting for children, the staff take the time to make sure the kids are comfortable, and Dr. Martinez is wonderful at engaging with the kids and parents. Highly recommend!
Today was my 3 year old's first time at the dentist. He was very excited about going, and they exceeded all his expectations. underwater them throughout, with jelly fish hanging from the ceiling as you enter the doors to the exam rooms, made it feel like he had stepped into a whole new world. He got to choose from a list using pictures to represent which flavored toothpaste he wanted. headphones to watch a movie on the ceiling, sunglasses to block out the bright lights. Erica and Dr. Martinez were amazing with my son who’s on the spectrum. Erica took her time to explain every step she was going to do with my son who was a bit anxious. Erica and Jasmine were very sweet, kind and patient. My son loved Dr. Martinez and had expressed that he’s excited to see her on his next appointment. Overall, we had an amazing experience!
Dr. Martinez has been taking care of both my boys for 10 years! She is phenomenal and everyone in the practice is very professional and friendly. Highly recommend this practice!
