I have dined here since 1992 and still live nearby. Though the neighborhood has changed a great deal, El Taco de Mexico remains an authentic, delicious gem that I will never stop going to (no matter how many trendy taco joints that spring up!).
I ordered a mexican hamburger and they gave me a quesadilla!!!! 😠 Two pieces of meat in a tortilla. Thats it, thats what their mexican hamburger was. With beans and rice on the side. I also told the lady twice for an horchata and she never brought it untill the end we mentioned it and she gave it to us for free. Anyways, definitely not what I expected. Tacos are hella good though. Tip: clean the air ways by the way. Dusty!
I've been going to the "soul kitchen" since before they had the new building. If I had only one meal in life to eat on it would be here. I no longer live in Denver, but the very first place I go after leaving DIA is here. The only issue I've ever had was whether to order the smothered chili relleno burrito or the tacos al pastor
Like Jesus made tacos...the chili rellanos burrito is ah...mazing. Very clean kitchen.
