While some things have changed over the last few decades, El Pollo Loco's commitment to fresh, authentic food has not. Everything starts with whole chickens that are slowly marinated in a special recipe of herbs, spices, fruit juices and garlic. The chicken is then expertly fire-grilled to perfection the authentic way - on our signature open-flame grills - then hand cut into your favorite Mexican entrees. We put that same dedication and care into our handmade guacamole, salsas and dressings every day. At El Pollo Loco, we be... read more

El POLLO LOCO...I WAS ROBBED!!!! – Okay, let me tell the real skinny on this El Pollo Loco Chicken. First, I'm a reasonable person and believe in giving second chances so after the first time i felt i was robbed, i waited aprox. 7 months and tried them again. OMG!!! i took myself and my 7 year old with me. i got him the so-called combo: it was two tortilla's and a drink for $4.99!!! if you wanted chips and cheese sauce were extra. i ordered a burritto combo the pollo asada. it was dry, smaller than a taco bell burrito but my... read more
Mexican fast-food chain serves up authentic citrus-marinated chicken and a variety of burritos and pollo bowls. – In Short This restaurant's first roadside chicken stand opened up in Guasave, Mexico in 1975. A family-inspired recipe of chicken marinated in herbs, spices and citrus juices was an overnight success and the Mexican chain opened its first American location in Los Angeles in 1980. Ever since, customers have been devouring the house specialty--zesty flame-grilled chicken served with tortillas and fresh salsa. Other... read more
Outstanding chicken. the best around – This sure beats greasy fried chicken. Its loaded with flavor, juicy on the inside, cripsy skin. I've never had chicken as good.
El Pollo Loco the Worst chicken of all the fast food giants, Churches, Popeye's, Kentucky Fried, Grocery stores, etc... – The 59th Ave & West Bell road Location: Prices differ from the menu to the cash register. Food is overpriced in comparison to the quality. The portions or cuts of chicken were small, especially the thighs. The meat was dry and chewy which left the bones brittle. A lot of splinters. This was the worst fast food chicken I ever had. I am a gourmet cook who can char-broil a better bird without the marinade.
mexican chicken wow – good food, clean restaurant. friendly sevice. great for the kids a little price for what you get. but great tasting chicken
Good food limited value – This is good stuff. The only drawback in my personal estimation is the value vs. food quantity. Seems that some of the menu items are quite limited on chicken, and quite heavy on the filler (beans, rice). Otherwise, the food is great tasting.
