Great Food and service! This family owned restaurant has been in business for over 17 years in Haywood County. Love the Homemade Salsa, Quesadilla Ricas and the Chocoloate Chimichamgas!! My favorite Mexican Restaurant!

We went for lunch a few days ago and were SO disappointed. When they were at the other location it was MUCH better. My mother ordered only a soft taco with beef and cheese and had to ask them to heat it up because the meat was cold. He must have microwaved it because the tortilla got so tough she could hardly eat it. The cheese dip had the consistency of glue. :(

Excited to see El Pobre back open in Waynesville at their new location. The food was very good once again and the salsa bar is amazing!!! Everything was fresh, seasoned and delicious. We will be back again and again...
