El patron rarely fails. Today their tables also was as good as I’ve ever had. It does seem to change from week to week For some reason the House hot sauce is not served unless you asked for it. I suspected it is far too hot for New Jersey tastes. It is however fantastic.
Unfortunately, this restaurant didn’t feel very authentic to me. The tortillas tasted store-bought and were somewhat rubbery. While the food looked appealing and was presented well, the flavor didn’t live up to the appearance. The atmosphere inside was nice and welcoming, which was a positive. However, for the quality of the food, I felt the prices were higher than what the overall experience was worth. It may be enjoyable for some, but it wasn’t a place I would personally return to.
