RecommendedWhile my sons chicken quesadilla was super good and my enchiladas were fantastic as well, the taco that was $3.50 was terrible. A good size taco but the meat was very mushy and watery.
So I just ordered the fajita plate with steak. And they gave me the bottom of the barrel. It was more grease than there was steak. And then for the rice, same thing. More grease at the bottom. I’m Mexican myself, but this was tooooooo much grease. Never ordering from here again
on delivery apps the option for side of rice. just says rice but is actually seasoned. throws off what you thought you ordered.
I was look for a good mexican food and I try other places here on hawaii and they fail..But then I found El Palenque and I was a little scared to order and be dissatisfied but so glad I order for delivery for the first time and OMG THIS IS the best place to get Mexican food on the island! so, tasty all ther plates are delicious!! and perfect taste like I'm in Mexico!!

Chimichanga, delicious 😋. Like their verde sauce, light. Salsa is spicy. I needed sour cream to tone it down. Chips were thin and fresh. Tiny though with eight tables. Go early and park on the street if you can. They do have parking.
So authentic and full of flavor! I felt I was eating my mother’s home cooked food and there was no long wait and friendly service! I’m visiting my son here in Hawaii & he said mom I’m going to take you to this bomb Mexican food place to have dinner & it was bomb! My plate was clean!
