If you're looking for quality- this is the place. The rooms are quaint and clean, the service is wonderful and friendly and the building is right around the corner from Selden Standard Restaurant (also amazing).
This hotel was amazing. We only stayed a night but it was totally worth it and we can’t wait to come back. The rooftop cabins are so cool it made our trip honestly. The staff was so kind and makes you feel so welcomed.
We had an amazing stay at El Moore. It was our first time in Detroit and everyone on staff was supremely helpful and hospitable. The communication prior to checking in was also easy to understand and quick. When we come back, we’ll definitely be back!
I try to stay in boutique hotels and support local when I can. The location is fine, quick ride to downtown Detroit. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. Big shower and bathroom. However, the pillows were either bricks or had virtually no fluff inside of them which made sleep difficult. There was also an incessant clicking noise all night which I had to block off by running a fan all night. The hotel did reimburse me for my stay, which while I did not ask for, is appreciated. We had a lovely stay. Warm, welcoming, kind staff. We stayed in the Hawthorne and it was very cute and cozy. I felt like I was staying the night with a great aunt, who lived in a beautiful old home. Would definitely stay here again. We walked to some shopping nearby-Shinola, Carhardt, 3 Man Records. Great location for our trip and very affordable.
