Pouring it up with over a decade of service at El Mirador, Leonel Calixto is our agave-beverage expert. Shaken or stirred, his attention to detail creates a great cóctele.
Since El Mirador opened its doors in 1960, it’s been a place where regulars and visitors alike could sit down for authentic Mexican food. Poor service! Ordered bean and cheese - taco came without beans but plenty of cheese - wait staff just sitting around- I went to kitchen to tell them to add beans! Almost finished my taco and finally waiter came to pour a second cup! This place is not what it use to be!!
Love the Sopas! – Mmmm. On a rainy day, I think El Mirador. The soups are the best comfort food ever!
Local favorite – Fresh ingredoients, creative menu, great
Real Mexican Food This is one of our favorites in San Antonio. It is near the Mercado. If you cannot handle the heat be sure to tell them to hold the chilis.
brunch barely average – We had teh omelet bar and there was absolutely nothing great about it. The potatoes on the omelet bar were good, though. The bread was a good change of pace but the server brought it out as were finishing our meal. She also didn't bother to refill tea or coffee. We asked another server.
Best meals I've had in San Antonio – I've read some of the older reviews and was shocked. I've been there twice in the last 2 months and found it to be the best meals that I had while in San Antonio. The service was great and the food was excellent. I was with a group both times and we had several items. Everyone loved it and I cannot think of a single negative. Even the manager was nice enough to call us cabs so that we could return to our hotels. I am anxiously looking forward to my next San Antonio trip just to visit this... read more
Horrible if the server is- Guillermina – The food is ok. But the service is not good. We had a server name Guillermina, she is simply horrible. She is very rude. Twice I had the experience. Messed up with our order but did n't bother to say sorry. Again messed up with the bill, over charger my friend >>>>>>>>> In a word if u sit outside make sure your server is not Guill... She will make ur lunch/dinner horrible.
