Dried up peices of jerky covered in green chile. Want cheese, lettuce, tomoatoes, beans and rices? That'll be $8 extra...WT? – My husband and I ate at a place called Los Pinos Monday of last week. It was absolutely fantastic. I had the steak and avocado burrito that melted in my mouth. He had a combination of sorts that was equally wonderful. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! – I LOVE COMING IN HERE. NOT ONLY IS THE FOOD GOOD BUT THE STAFF IS SO NICE RESPECTFUL AND YOU CAN TELL THEY WERE HIGHLY TRAINED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! COMPARED TO OTHER PLACES OUT HERE IN COMMERCE CITY!! KEEP IT UP STAFF AT EL JARDIN!!
I drive out of my way to eat here! – I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant! I've introduced many people to it, who also go out of their way to eat there!! Friendly staff, good food, and awesome green chile!!
Very disappointing. – The food was average (pretty much the same stuff you find at On the Border, less creative), the margaritas were average (with very few choices), the atmosphere was lacking (I felt like I was in a warehouse). I haven't tried many home-grown places in Denver yet, but I would think there is a better "Best in Denver" mexican place than this. Nothing to write home about – While it wasn't awful, I don't plan to return. The food was very bland, and over priced. I expected great Mexican food based on the reviews but I was disappointed. Still, service was prompt and polite.
Great Margs - Awesome party room – We celebrated our Mom's retirement party at El Jardin. The room was awesome and very affordable. We have dined at El Jardin many times before, but the party they hosted for us was above and beyond. Our favorites are the Lime margaritas and Steak Picado...
Love the green chile and flan – Our first visit was last night and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere, the decor and the food. The green chile was hot, in fact I should have ordered the medium, it was to hot for me, but very tasty. The best part of the evening was the dessert. We had their homemade FLAN which was AWESOME...We have had FLAN at many Mexican restaurants, but this by far and away was the best.
um, yuck – We tried this spot a few months ago after reading the reviews on it here. We waited to get seated while waitresses ran around like crazy. We waited forever to give our order. When it finally came, bland. Bland green chili, cold, mushy food, just not good. Too bad, the ambience is neat and it looks like an authentic place from the outside. I wish I could eat there every day!!! – Wonderful atmosphere; I love the decor, music, and tv channels they choose! They have excellent customer service because everyone checks to see what you need, not just the waitress assigned to you! We are always on the lookout for authentic Mexican food and this place does a great job. I just wish the prices were lower so we could afford to drop by more often! I recommend the Indian tacos!!!
