Great tamales! – I'm from the local area and now live in New England. Once you move away from SOCAL, you realize what you are missing. When I need a fix for great tamales, this is where I go, or I have a friend send me some in bulk. Give them a try!
Quick, Tasty mexican Food El Indio has been a favorite of mine for over 20 years. When ever I am on that side of town I try to stop in. They serve very authentic Mexican food for a great price. I always get it to go, and it travels well, unlike some places where the tacos get all soggy. The service is always friendly.
great tamales – Unbelievable tamales! Unlike others, these tamales are packed with meat. The pork was delicious. The chips are thick and crunchy and not oversalted. (may need to order them ahead)
Great authentic food for nearly 40 years. El Indio has been a long standing tradition in North Redondo Beach. It was established about 1969 (?). Its staying power I think is attributed to its low prices, authentic and flavorful food and availability of prepared ingredients to make your own tamales at home.
Good neighborhood restaurant This is a good place to pick up a quick dinner from or to enjoy a weekend lunch with family. Some dishes are better than others-the burritos are a good size while the enchiladas have a tendency to be greasy. Our recent out of state visitors thought the food was great and inexpensive.
