Pefect for TO GO or Famlies – Of the three EL GRINGO's, this one is probably the best for families. Maybe because it is next to a Baskin Robins (kids), or maybe because it is located on PCH with parking. I reserve this location for To Go. They always have a local girl working the 'old school' walk-up-sliding- To- Go- Window. Funny, i read a review that said they use styrofoam... Been going for years-never seen styro??? This place is known for being enviornmentally friendly. btw, This place is always filled (its small) and ar... read more

Best Salsa in Town! – I've been going to El Gringo regularly for ten years. The ground beef tacos can be a bit greasy, the rice can be a little dry, and the wait staff aren't always the speediest, but everything else is fantastic. (And the comment about the wait staff is a very rare complaint.) The portions are always huge, and the food always good, but what really seals the deal is the salsa; generous servings, and the best I've had in the L.A. area. Love their soup and salads – When every I visit Manhattan Beach I always eat here. It is clean flavorful food. Service is good. There can be a long wait.

Not best Mexican in Manhattan Beach but not bad – This tiny restaurant next to Baskin Robbins is always way more packed than it should be. There is a takeout window for the dedicated but the food isn't good enough to endure paying for it cold in styrofoam. The soup is flavorful but otherwise the menu is nothing to write home about.

mahi burrito My husband loves Brads Tacos here (he gets 2 chicken asada, 2 pork). I love the Mahi Mahi burrito. DEpending on the day, their freshly made salsas are medium to HOT.

Yum Everyone loves Taco Tuesdays! And 1/2 price Sangria night! Who wouldn't. Even without the special taco deal, we get tacos to go from El Gringo at least once a week. The Mahi Mahi & Pollo Negro tacos are my favorite.

small size, but great food! El Gringo at this location may be small (from the outside), but they can seat a large party--my husband likes to meet his buddies there for lunch during the work week, and sometimes I join them. The food is great, and the servings are generous. They have great deals for lunch, and if you are a Mattel employee, you get a 20% discount. I think they offer other specials to business people, if you leave your business card, but you'll have to ask them about this. We prefer the black beans, because they... read more
