Awesome! Loved the atmosphere and rooms and the beach! A perfect getaway!
I love the big windows in the rooms. You can look out over the bay and enjoy the beach even if it's raining!
I ask for a room on the end when i made reservations. Did not get the room on the end that i was lead to believe i was getting. Love the beach but they need to do some upgrading and have people to quite down after midnight. Worst 2 night stay I've had in a long time. Could not sleep because of the people next door. We called the desk and they did nothing I will never stay there again. Not happy at all.
We love everything about Mexico Beach … and the El Governor is the Flag Ship for Mexico Beach; it has some age on it but the rooms are extremely clean and the beds are very comfortable. All rooms have a magnificent view of the gulf and the sunsets from your balcony are amazing ... photo worthy. We have had nothing but positive experiences with the entire staff, from reservations, check-in, to house-keeping. Awesome place! Very friendly staff. We have stayed here for 7 years now. This is the first time that we have had any problem. When we arrived on Friday our room smelled so strong with cigarette smoke. The staff and management washed the walls and changed the filter in the air conditioner. I sprayed with Lysol. The next morning the staff came to clean the room and commented that she could still smell the smoke. She was very nice and changed the sheets and sprayed the mattress.
