Can't say enough good about this place. All you need right on the beach.

Mexico Beach is my only Florida destination. The El Governor is my only Home Away From Home when in MB. Never have I had a complaint. I am preparing to take my 3rd trip of 2016 in a few weeks. This time bringing my 93 year old WWII Veteran Dad with me. He is ready for some R&R and seeing the sun go into the gulf as only it does in MB. Looking forward to check in and another fantastic stay at the EL GOVERNOR
Even in bad weather, we still loved staying at El Governor! Loved hanging at the tiki bar, talking to guests while watching a beautiful stormy sky. All of the staff are so friendly & kind it feel like you are staying with family! The local restaurants, stores..everything about MB feels like a private quaint beach town...home away from Home!
Enjoyed my stay there for the weekend . Beautiful beach , weather, and staff. All the staff at El Governor was the best, especially Nikki at the front desk. Can't wait to return in the fall for another stay!

We were there the week of June 24. Had a great time. Loved being right on the beach. The pool was great. We also enjoyed the tiki huts. You can grill and watched the ocean. Very clean room. We will come and stay again..
Mexico Beach is my ONLY Florida destination & I always stay at El Governor. I love the employees of the hotel, the gift shop & how quiet this quaint town is even though it has attracted more attention since 20 years ago when I discovered this gem. The rates are reasonable year round & the locals so friendly. This would be my dream retirement home.
I love EL Governor,Hubby an i use to go there 2 times a year .But he passed away in 2011,we both loved going their.So peaceful.
