We are Californians who just found this place. It had been a couple of months since we had any Mexican food. We thought about leaving as it took 5-10 minutes to be seated. We were there about 4 pm on a Sunday so it was pretty slow. Glad we stayed. I had a 2 item combo of chicken enchilada and a chicken burrito. The portions were small but extremely tasty. Much better than 75% of restaurants in north LA county. Price was reasonable.
Food and service was wonderful,would definitely return.
After coming here weekly for over three years I think I've finally had enough. Once the manager left last summer the service and quality has gone down so much that it's now mediocre. I watched as five tables sat unattended for over 30 minutes. No water, chips, drinks, or placing of their orders. After 40 minutes one party left. We waited 30 minutes and after finishing our food an additional 30 minutes before going up and requesting our bill. The food is not wonderful by any means. I work at a restaurant on church street, so I know how hard it is this time of year with student employees leaving and yet students coming back, making it busier and yet short staffed. Our server, Haleigh S. was adorable and as attentive as she could be considering how busy she was. The food was good as per usual. Thanks to all the staff for hanging in there!
I really enjoyed the experience... Barbacoa Taco is my favorite :) We'll come back...
